My name is [MyName] of [MyAddress] and I have called Jersey City home for the past [#OfYears] years.
I am currently a parishioner of Saint George and Saint Shenuda Coptic Orthodox Church, located at 835 Bergen Avenue, and as a parishioner of the Church I have witnessed first hand the positive effects the Church has had on our local community. Over the past 43 years, there has been a significant growth in our community, and we are desperately in need of a new center to accommodate the needs of our growing community.
This is why I am asking you to vote in favor of the proposed City Ordinance 17-086, which will vacate a portion of Freeman Avenue and Field Avenue. This proposed ordinance will allow the community to redevelop a section of Ward B and will expand the Church’s services in the area as well as benefit the Jersey City community as a whole.
